Maytag Corporation Complaint - Maytag Dishwasher and Customer Support
I have a Maytag dishwasher that's not even two years old. It began leaking from the upper left part of the door, through the rubber seal. Steam was escaping from the side of the door. This tore up my cabinets and eventually left water pooled on my kitchen floor. The other thing that this caused is that the steam broke down the adhesive behind the sticker that contains the serial number. I called customer support about the recent dishwasher recall and the representative told me that it's impossible for their stickers to fall off and that it didn't happen. She basically called me a liar, in a roundabout way. I went round and round with her on the issue and was very steamed (pun intended) when I got off the phone. I don't care about the $150 rebate because it means that I would have to buy another Maytag. No thanks, I'll eat the $150. I just don't appreciate a customer service representative (and she told me that she's a supervisor) telling me that it's impossible that for their sticker to fall off and that it could not have happened. Where does she think that the sticker went? The Energy Star sticker on the top of my door is also hanging partway off for the same reason. I guess it must be my imagination even though I can see it with my own eyes. Maytag has lousy appliances and even worse customer support. DO NOT BUY MAYTAG!!!!! I will be washing my dishes this evening with a new dishwasher made by another company. I will never purchase another Maytag product, thanks to their customer support.
