Ashley Furniture. Pharr Texas Complaint - Mattress Pad. WHAT MATTRESS?
PHARR -- Walked into store to purchase a new King bedroom set on 5/20/10. Before could walk out of the store they forced us to take the mattress pad for the mattress that we had purchased that day. The next day we went over to change the order from a king to queen size bed and they were able EXCHANGE the mattress pad no questions ask that day. They never disclosed the consequences of what would be if we would cancel the order due to the delay for delivery that was almost 3 weeks out. Upon cancellation they were quick to offer next day delivery, but we canceled anyway. Later we found out that we were not refunded our full amount for the down payment we were never told upfront that we had to pay. they deducted the mattress pad amount of 80.00 that was for a warranty that we got for the mattress. They stated that due to SANITATION purposes they were not able to accept the pad back. HELLO, they were quick to swap it out from the original size from the king to the queen the next day even though they have a no EXCHANGE policy but when the order was completely canceled we were out 80.00 for MATTRESS PAD THAT CAME WITH A WARRENTY FOR A BED MATTRESS WE DONT HAVE!!! We spoke to the managers and even with paper stating that they broke their policy when we changed the order we still we not able to get the money back..DUE TO SANITATION purposes is what the manager said... I would have understood if we would have had a bed to use the pad with but again WE CANCELED THE ORDER.. oh well whats 80.00 dollars right, but imagine how many other customers are forced to walk out with the mattress pad and if they cancel don't get then money back..THAT adds up ASHLEY....
