T-Mobile Complaint - Told one thing, delivered another
June 8, 2010
On December of 2008, I signed my family up for T-mobile's family plan, and both my daughter and I received discounted phones. My husband, however, did not. I was told at the time that we could hold onto that discount and use it at a later date. I even asked the representative if I could use it for my teenage daughter if needed, and the response was “Yes. Sure.” We even joked about how teenagers are abusive to their phones.
Fast forward to today. I just got off the phone with T-mobile and was told that is not the case. I was trying to use the discount that my husband did not take advantage of a year and a half ago to get my daugheter a discounted phone as her's is falling apart. I was told that I was not entitled to a discounted phone without a new contract.
That is NOT what I was led to believe when I signed up for T-mobile 18 months ago. I believe I was grossly misled by their representative 18 months ago and am terribly disappointed with their business practices. I feel this company deceived me.
The customer service, while polite, has left me angry and dissatisfied. I certainly will not be renewing my contract with T-mobile.
