DirecTV Inc Complaint - Same Problems Plus More With DirecTV
EL SEGUNDO, CALIFORNIA -- I'm also having the same problems that the other person wrote about today (June 8, 2010), which means I can only watch the one channel that it is on, and I can't use the remote on the receiver at all. I've changed the batteries in the remotes, still nothing on the receiver, but it works on the TV itself. When I try using the power button on the receiver itself to turn it off, nothing happens. I've unplugged them and plugged them back in, with no change in result. And I'm curious whether the other person who posted a review today actually got connected by phone to DirecTV. All I get for the last 2 1/2 hours is either a fast busy signal or a message telling me my call wasn't completed and to try it again. I noticed on Google that DirecTV had a press release yesterday that they are now offering or going to be offering a whole house DVR, and that they're going to stop charging extra for HD service because DISH Network is doing so. I also noticed that they have over 39,000 BBB complaints within the last 3 years, they're not BBB accredited, and that the BBB has given them a rating of "F". They're the best choice we have available here now, but when U-Verse is available, watch out! I've been patiently waiting for it for over a year. Don't know if it will be any better but DirecTV really is totally unbelievable. And something about how they train their CSRs would frustrate the most patient of people, even before considering how much they are paying to DirecTV every month to be so frustrated.
