American Airlines Complaint - The Worse Airline In The World???
JFK - LHR 31 May 2010 AM Flight.
Possibly the the most terrible airline out there. I was shocked by the disgraceful "service" and the disgusting conduct of some of the flight attendants, especially the sole male flight attendant in Economy; he takes the cake for being the worse there is. Why do some of these people stay in a customer service job they don't care about, one can only guess. 1. Boarding: two women were struggling to stow their (heavy) carry-on onto the overhead bin. Male flight attendant approached but kept a distance, belting "Aren't we having a carry-on moment? The amazing things women can do these days." (Referring to the women's ability to finally succeed in hoisting the carry-on onto the overhead bin.). When the women finally stowed the carry-on, our male flight attendant broke out in an applause. Yes, he clapped, mockingly. We cringed at this ugly display. 2. Meal time: as the male flight attendant carted down the aisle, he belted "omelette, french toast or not to eat" Can it be tackier? Can it be more unprofessional? We are on an airplane damn it, not at a concession stand. 3. A middle aged passenger asked the male attendant as he was collecting the trays if she can have more food. The male attendant embarrassed his kind again with the curt reply "Don't even go there ! We are fighting World War III up here" (Referring to the tray collection). Why so obnoxious? How hideous can you be?
It is laughable that this airline claimed "to be happy to serve" their customers at the end of the flight. Far from it. Why do some airlines think they can demean their customers in economy and feel that they can get away with it? Some of us paid full economy fare (I know I did). For my return trip, I am switching to BA. Let's see which one is worse.
