Wal-Mart Complaint - Fired because of a disability
My step son was hired as a night stock person. He has a bad knee, and informed the hiring manager of that fact. He was given one warning that he was not keeping up his stocking "quota", after about 2 weeks. He did his best to keep up, and did work harder to ry and meet that "quota", but apparenty couldn`t, though he was doing a good, thorough job. He was never told how short he was failing or offered help to improve do to his disability. He went to work on a Sunday night, 4 weeks later, and was fired on the spot, no second warning, no explanation other than the "quota", no offer to help him by moving him to a less strenuous job, nothing but kick him out. He was heart broken, trying to do a good job, just starting out on his own. Some of you out there say this retailer is a god send, excuse me, god would not treat the lowliest creature on earth like this. If we could afford an attorney we`d sue, but what would that change against the "Mighty Walmart". That comany makes me puke!
