I have a GE dishwasher. Few days back it stopped working suddenly. I checked their user manual and came to a conclusion that I will have to call the GE Service personnel. I did that.
The first person came on 6/1/2010 and within 2 minutes told us that we will have to replace a certain part in the dishwasher. He told that the total charges will be $258. I received the part through FedEx and the next person came to install it on 6/8/2010. This person opened the panel and told us that we do not need to replace the part since a wire is broken. He just connected the wire and dishwasher started working.
Now, they have charged me for 2 service calls. Had the first person taken some more pain and opened the panel, the second call was not required at all. I am being charged for the foolishness of the first service person.
