Exprezit Complaint - Nasty Bathroom, old food, expired milk, and sorry service.

Review by ed9488 on 2010-06-09
LEXINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- Hello I would like to take time to tell everyone about this nasty store. This store located on New Hwy. 64 East at a caution light. I went there to use the restroom. first of all half of the toliet seat was missing. There was no soap and papertowels in the bathroom to was my hands. There was mildew on the bathroom walls and holes in the bathroom walls. I go out to complain and the man who was running told me in a snobby voice people steal the soap and flush the paper towels down the toliet. I'm sorry but I would like to wash my hands. Then I go over to the candy aisle and pick up a box of skittles look at the date and these skittles went out in year 2007! Really I told him about this and he was like " Oh I don't know how them got out there." So I go over and buy a quart of milk and go back to work. Which was only 10 mintues away. I go to pour the milk into my ceral and the milk had this smell. I look at the date and it had been expired for 6 days and still had it on the shelve. I will never go back to this store again and I wanted to warn the people please don't stop there. The people who work there are very rude people. This store would rank last in my opinion in Lexington NC. Thank you

Public Restrooms = GROSS!! He was right, people do steal the soap and flush paper towels down the toilets. And God knows what else they do in there.

I wonder what happened to the seat?

"Milk is good for up to a week past the expiration date"

I'd say 'Milk *may* be good for up to a week past the expiration date'. I've gotten milk that wasn't :(

i never purchase milk that's past it's sell by date
because... hell they shouldn't be selling in the first place =/

I would never donate expired milk either.
To me donating expired food to the poor is a slapping them in the face.

And believe me I know all about spoiled milk - they tried serving it to us on my last Navy ship on deployment. As soon as I could I went and got myself powdered milk... because it doesn't taste great but it sure as hell tastes better than spoiled milk. =/

it doesn't matter.

The store isn't suppose to sell expired food.

It doesn't matter how much you love past-due milk... it's not suppose to be on the shelf to be sold.

As a customer, the OP has every right to complain that it tasted like crap.

the only thing i say that is against the OP is that... next time, it's best to check before you buy.

I used to be a retail milkman and know that "proper" refrigeration will extend the shelf life several days... notice I said "proper" refrigeration...

If this is actually true, I would call your local Dept. of health. They're in a world of hurt if the're selling expired product!

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the OP would check the expiration date on a box of candy before purchase but not check the expiration date on a carton of milk before purchase? For me, it would be the other way around.
