Dish Network Complaint - Customer service threatening
CONNECTICUT -- I moved to a new house and mistakenly called Dish Network for my TV service. Unfortunately, I lost two weekend days for the installation as the serviceman did not have the right equipment the first time and had to return. The installation was in the month of November when trees had no leaves and as soon as spring weather brought leaves to the trees I began loosing some premium channels. As the weather got warmer and trees grew more, my signal reception got worse and now I am at a point where I can never receive a dozen channels. And when it is stormy, forget about all channels.
When I complained and asked for cancellation, the customer service representative threatened me with cancellation penalty for the two year service that I had signed up, despite the fact that they are the ones at fault by failing to deliver quality product.
Never sign up for any long term commitment with any service provider before some research and homework on the product or talking to people who already use that service. This will be my first and last Satellite service contract. On the other hand, Charter cable offered quality TV reception with no contract and excellent installation service. I can get all channels even in bad weather and never miss signal in the middle of a movie.
