Atlantic hundai Complaint - Atlantic hundai wolves in sheeps clothing

Review by siggy on 2010-06-12
SUNRISE HIGHWAY SUFFOLK COUNTY,, NEW YORK -- I went to atlantic hundai to look at some used cars as I had been pre approved for a loan through Capital One. I was told that there was a gap in the loan and that I would have to put down a substantial down payment which I did not have. upon getting up to leave the sales person asked if they could try to secure the loan through hundai, which I agreed. entering the finance department I immediately told the finance officer I did not want anything extra/ after waiting for hours the paperwork came out to be signed. Being distracted by my salesperson and having papers pushed in front of me to sign, whithout realizing they snuck in an extended warranty for two thousand dollars. I could not take posession of the vehicle that day and noticed it that night. When I went to the dealership the next day they told me that in order to get the loan I had to buy the extended warranty. I informed themif that was the case I would thave gladly left and tried to obtain some other finance. They would not let me out of the deal and when I became boistrous in the showroom they quickly trimmed my deal. they lowered my interest rate (which was sky high to begin with and threw in a few oil changes. but what made matters worse was I wasn't told that the rebate would be doubled in the next few days, which made me even more livid. I have purchased five vehicles at this location and each time I go there is some sort of shady business going on. I will and anyone else I know purchasing a hundai will adamantly tell them to shop elsewhere. sincerely ken sigmund

5 shady deals and you keep going back? Was the service ever good?

Why do people keep signing things without reading them?

Because.

Isn't there a waiting period during which time the customer can change their mind? At least 24 hours? Maybe not with auto loans. I'm not sure.

Venice, good question. I haven't had a car loan in a long time. Cash only for me.

We've had our share of car loans, but I regret every one of them. I would never buy a new car again. I'd rather buy used and pay with cash if possible.
