IHOP Complaint - I'm done with IHOP
LAYTON, UTAH -- My wife and I deceided to visit the IHOP in Layton, UT, once again just to see if the food and service had gotten any better since our last visit some years ago. It has not. This is my last time eating at any IHOP.
It was a Sunday morning and the restaruant wasn't too busy, however the noise was defining. It wasn't the customers, it was the staff. There was a lot of yelling back and forth between the staff members (most of it ws in Spanish and no, Uthat is not yet a part of Mexico), loud pots and pans being slammed together. Completely unnecessary and distracting to the public who might like a quiet Sunday morning breakfast.
The food was not particularly good, sure wasn't tasty. My wife ordered one of their skillet breakfast meals and it had so much pepper on it that she couldn't eat it. Her toast was burnt, and her bisket was a hockey puck.
I ordered pancakes and honestly, they were the worst pancakes I have ever had. Even I make better pancakes. When the meal was served, I had to ask for the Maple Surup. There were several surups on the table, but no maple surup. I also had to ask THREE times for a glass of water.
Finally, when it came time to pay for the meal, I showed the cashier my military ID (IHOP reportably gives a ten-percent discount to America's military members), the cashier indicated she saw the ID, but then failed to give the discount. She also would not give me the ticket that had IHOP's survey information so that I could comment on the visit to that store. Pretty lame.
So, should any IHOP management ever see this review, I'm done with you. You had several chances and you blew them all.
