Time Warner Complaint - Time Warner takes money from my account twice
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- This month I paid my bill on the phone. I gave them my checking information as usual and my payment was confirmed. A week later I checked my balance and account activity over the phone and was shocked to fine that TW took the billing amount out of the account twice. This leaves me very short on money for the rest of the month. I called TW and found that I have a credit on my account but will not help me in the next couple of weeks when I have no money for food or transportation. I would normally be okay but I had moving expenses and TW demanded one hundred 97 dollars to install their product. Upon calling TW I'm told that I have to have my bank reverse the check but the bank will charge me twenty-five dollars and TW will charge me a twenty-five dollar service charge as well. Their attitude is "Oh well, sh#! happens". Not only are they unwilling to help- they are unwilling to even apologize for their mistake. I'll be researching other cable, phone and internet options for myself and my mother who I take care of. It is going to be really hard explaining to a sick old woman that we have to find a food bank this month because TW needed to take unauthorized funds from my account. Times are hard enough right now without being ripped off by a company you thought you could trust making sloppy mistakes and then refusing to take responsibility.
