Rairdon Dodge of Bellingham, WA Complaint - Opportunistic scammers

Review by Evit on 2010-06-15
BELLINGHAM, WASHINGTON -- Bought the truck through internet/phone sales. I live in Alaska and shipped my trade in vehicle to Bellingham, WA to purchase a 2010 Dodge Ram. Salesman only called me once a day and didn't commit to the agreements. The agreement was to pay for the shipping for the new vehicle to come back to Alaska. He stated he would call me back with the shipping information and put it on the ferry. He did not and called me back only when at the marine terminal stating that there was no reservation under my name. they failed to pay for the shipping and since I'm moving in a week, they can't put it on the ferry because it's all booked up. It took a month to complete the deal but they were quick to sell my trade in vehicle. They wanted me to pay half of the $1200 shipping from Seattle but again, it's too late. They kept wanting me to call them back instead of the salesman checking up on me for the status fo the sale. Paperwork was sent snail mail instead of FEDEX or UPS for quicker service.

How much of this transaction was in writing? Promises from salespeople mean nothing until its written in a contract. Did you ever get your truck?
