Dish Network Complaint - Charged for Pay-Per-View we didn't order
I noticed our Dish bill was higher then normal, so I checked into it more. I saw that we were charged for a pay per view. I know that my husband didn't order it because he wasn't home that day. I know I didn't order it. That would leave my dog. I really don't think she ordered it because she doesn't know how to use the remote. She's smart, but not that smart.
So, I contacted Dish to get a refund. At the same time, I wanted to know what they were going to do about having other houses on the same frequency as our receiver. Long story but short version is that there are at least two other houses in our subdivision that are on the same frequency as us for the receiver that we have in our master bedroom. We try to watch TV in the bedroom however, when we do, the channel will magically change or the onscreen menu will come up and start scrolling. Dish's reply was that there was no way that somebody else could be "changing channels" from the house or ordering pay per view - it had to be us doing it. Took some major doing but I finally did get a refund for the pay per view.
I really don't like being called a liar when I know I'm telling the truth. I got confirmation this past weekend that there is a problem because the person that installed our service was in our neighborhood. My husband talked to him and he stated that he has had many complaints in this subdivision about it and he's going to be working on getting the problem fixed within the next few weeks.
