DirecTV Inc Complaint - Extra Charges, Wrong Address, Incapable
I have had nothing but problems with my DirecTV account since I first signed a two year contract. When I changed houses in January they discontinued my automatic payment system, added Starz, HBO and Showtime. Somehow they also got my old room mates new address and were sending the bills there. I found out about the extra charges and cancellation of my automatic payments when my service was discontinued. I called in to see what was going on and it took me over an hour on the phone with a different representative for each problem. At the end of the call I thought that I had my automatic payment reestablished, the extra channels discontinued and my address fixed. A few days ago my old roommate dropped off a dropped off a DirecTV bill showing that they are charging me $84.99 per month, instead of the $43.99 that I thought I was being charged, and that until I pay my bill my service will be shut off.
So I called in to see get this fixed. The very nice man on the phone was unable to fix the address on the account. For this reason he told me he was unable to do anything about any of the other problems.
Oh another thing that was just annoying. When I transferred from one house to another I no longer needed two receivers. When the guys were at my house doing the installation, I asked them to take the old box away. They said they are not able to do that. Seriously, why can they not bring those back to their own company? Oh, so that hopefully, I will fail to return it and they can charge me an $5 dollar fee each month.
Nothing but problems and I don't want to give them one more of my hard earned pennies.
