Lowe's Complaint - Inferior Product Quality
GILROY, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased a Lowe's Levolor 1" Cellular Heat Reflecting Pleated Mini Blind this year to replace one of six I had purchased last year. The new blind is quite inferior to the old Levolor product and I am unsatisfied with it. Here's why:
NOT GOOD: The new blind features plastic substituted for metal and the mounting brackets now stand the blind off the window pane creating an air gap, meaning the blind does not insulate as well. The new blind looks bulky, clumsy and cheap.
BAD: The new blind cannot be lowered like a conventional blind, by pulling a cord, instead you are forced to draw it down by hand, which I notice is less convenient and slower and the blind will not come down level of itself, so you have a slightly crooked blind unless you want to fuss with both hands to fiddle it into alignment. Raising the blind is no problem.
WORSE: The new semi-automated machine used to cut the blinds does not leave a clean undamaged blind. Many of the ends of the cellular pleats were puckered together, and even after tedious manual effort to pick the puckers apart, quite a few were fused to the point where it was impossible to correct the damage.
When the sun shines on your Levolor Cellular Mini Blind from Lowe's you'll realize the inferior product you just shelled out $65 or more for. So much for Levolor quality.
