Southern California AAA Complaint - Don't bother buying Roadside Assistance.... You could walk home faster

Review by jrsygirl on 2010-06-16
My husband got a flat on his black motorcycle at night on the freeway in Southern California. AAA told him 25 minutes was his wait time. He called me at home after 45 minutes to tell me he still hadn't been taken off the freeway. I called AAA now it is after 8pm pitch black out and my husband is standing on the side of the freeway with a black motorcycle and a black riding jacket and I could hear the cars whizzing by him! I was worried he was going to get hit because no one could see him. The AAA associate couldn't believe that the call wasn't expedited. I was so angry because it was extremely dangerous and AAA was doing nothing. I even had to ask them to send an officer so that at least their lights would deter people from the area that he was located. He waited for over an hour and 15 minutes for a tow driver to help him. And I think the only reason they came that quickly is because I was screaming mad in the phone for 20 minutes! I am going to ask for my money back! After 13 years I don't want to be a member of AAA any longer. I will find another roadside company where SAFETY is their top priority!
