Omaha Insurance Services Complaint - Bad Experience
OMAHA, NEBRASKA -- I have used Omaha Insurance Services for my auto & homeowners policies for a few years, choosing them because of a family recommendation. My initial contact was friendly and helpful, and I didn't start running into problems until after she left. The contact who replaced her is unhelpful, unclear, and rude. I am not a "needy" client by any means, but when I need help, I need help. Since they are making commission off of my business, you would think they would have friendly front-line staff with excellent customer service skills, but clearly they do not.
All of the agents are part-owners, meaning if you run into issues with your agent, you can't expect upper-management to assist you in any service recovery efforts. The family member who recommended Omaha Insurance Services to me switched brokerage firms due to similar problems, and I recently did the same. Their response to losing our business was indifferent.
The major issues we have experienced with Omaha Insurance Services are as follows:
1. Poor customer service
2. Unclear correspondence
3. Zero service-recovery attempts
4. Unhelpfulness (I had to call Traveler's and Progressive directly multiple times because I was not getting answers from Omaha Insurance Services)
I cut ties with Omaha Insurance Services when it started becoming increasingly clear that in order to get answers, I needed to find them myself. Consumers deserve an insurance brokerage firm who will act as their advocate.
