Wells Fargo & Company Complaint - From Wachovia to Wellsfargo on US's Dime
I was part of the switch over from Wachovia when Wells Fargo purchased them using our bailout funds to do so. Things where ok a few charges for using the wrong ATM from Wells Fargo that I wasn't used to but overall it was going ok. Then it hit like a bomb. I got my first set of overdrafts. Totally as usual $205.00 to the $35.00 worth of merchandise I paid. I called the bank and asked if there was something they could do. They stated that because this was my first offense they could refund half of the amount. Great I said. Then the next day more over drafts came in.. Totally another $150 on 25 worth of merchandise. I am learning not to use my debit card at star bucks or small items. Then a charge called DR-RIGHT OF SETOFF TO ACCT. This was from my partner who had thought he closed his account a long time ago. So after Wells Fargo received over $355.00 from me I then had a charge of $42.00 from an old old account that should have been closed. This is frustrating and confusing that they would wait at least two months since the change over to charge this fee.
