Mccurry motors Complaint - Abusive collections manager
ATHENS, ALABAMA -- About a week ago, I married my wife, Amber. I have known her for a period of a little more than a year, and she has been the kindest, and sweetest person ever. Recently, we decided to purchase a car, and in the course of that I was told by my credit union that my wife had a prior repossession from a few years ago, and that issue needed to be clarified with a simple letter stating that the car was returned to the lender, and that their was nothing currently pending. Yesterday, June 17, 2010- my wife and I visited the north parkway location of mccurry motors, and an employee there gave us a number for christie 256-262-0193 ext. 1; we were told that she was the collections manager and could further assist us. I called her immediately thereafter, and told her of the situation. she proceeded to ask me questions about who I was talking to at my credit union, if I had a phone number and/or fax number for my credit union, and who the loan officer was. I provided her the information, and christie stated that she would call me back. When I did not hear back from her, I asked my wife to call her back, and at that time, christie went rabid on her and myself. my wife is diagnosed with adhd, anxiety, depression etc., and unable to stand christie's taunts, she handed me the phone. not knowing that I was on the other end, christie continued, "i have your number now, and you will give us $6000. I have called your credit union and told them how horrible you people are, and they will never give you the car loan anymore." and at that time, I interrupted her and stated, "do you even realize what you are saying; christie responded, "she will give us $6000, I called your credit union and told them how horrible you'll are. screw y'all." and hung up !! this women is the most ill-trained and dis-respectful person I have ever spoken to in my entire life. simply despicable. there is a way to talk to people, and she most certainly does not know how to. as I write this, I am considering a suit for defamation, in the even she really did call my credit union, and said anything to my loan officer. her actions have defamed me as well.
