Wirefly Complaint - Missing Payment - Cancelled Contract
On December 26, 2009 I placed an order for an AT&T cell phone for my brother. Because of reasons I will not go into, the contract was terminated in March 2010. I received a letter around May 20, 2010 stating that wirefly would be taking the remaining balance of the phone ($300.00) from the card the order was placed with. I had no problem with that. I entered in a contract with you wirefly saying they would do so. May 29, 2010 a transaction was initiated by wirefly for the $300.00, the transaction was completed June 01, 2010.
My issue is not that I have to pay the $300.00; my issue is that I am receiving calls, emails and letters, from Simplexity (wirefly’s collections), stating that I have not paid this balance. I reached out to simplexity and I was told to call wirefly. I called wirefly and was referred to a third party at 800-557-2115. All three people I spoke with informed me that they do not have record of this transaction and I would have to send proof of this payment; a payment that I did not initiate, a payment that was initiated on wirefly’s part. I find this ridiculous. So I am basically being told, we took your money and we don’t know where it went, not by one person but three different people. What kind of incompetent stuff is that? I personally work in the finance industry were we have to provide the best possible customer service, because like wirefly we provide a service and we are also dealing with someone else’s money. This situation is just unacceptable.
I have done business with wirefly in the past and I was happy about the service I received. This is why I returned. I have referred several friends and family. But After this situation I don’t think I will ever return. I have faxed
