Sprint Complaint - Save yourself many hours with Customer Service!!!
If there was an option of giving Sprint negative stars, I would. I have never encountered such a sleazy, non-helpful, rip-off of a company. I originally signed up for Sprint service in April - despite the fact that I had heard such negative reviews. The only reason - because the person I talk to the most has Sprint, so I figured I could sign up for the minimum minutes plan.
Mistake #1. Trust Sprint. I signed up for the minimum plan. My bill - between activation fee and other bogus charges - it went up to $200. Keep in mind - NO CARRIER should charge you for an activation fee when you are signing up for a 2 year plan.
Mistake #2. The phone that I got (Samsung Reclaim - the one that is Eco friendly) - started turning off on its own. I checked all the settings - it had nothing to do with that. I went in to the store to complain about it. They ended up telling me that the phone has a lot of problems - so they offered me another one! (ok - why would you not tell me that from the beginning!!!)
Mistake #3. I took the other phone. They screwed up my phone # and ended up disconnecting me.
Between my huge bill and the phone getting disconnected, I called Sprint and told them I wanted to terminate my service. They said ok, no charges.
I end up getting a bill at home that said my account was overdue and I owed $75. For what? (of course, I owed $75 after their "adjustments" to my bill of $150. I call customer service to ask about the charges. They told me that it was usage charges. Usage charges for 3 days cost me $75. I checked my email. Twice.
Of course, after me explaining to the customer service person my dissatisfaction with Sprint, why I originally canceled - she told me that when I canceled the bill wasn't ready. Yes it way - that's one of the reasons why I had canceled Sprint - all of the over charges!! I mentioned the activation fee - the response to that was that all I had to do was call and get them waived. I didn't even know what to say to that - when I sign up for a service, I do not want to call customer service the first month to get my bill adjusted.
I ended up getting nowhere, paid the money just to get off the phone. I would rather pay $75 then continue talking to Sprint's customer service. They talk off a script, completely non helpful, rude and intent on getting your money.
Moral of the story - go with another phone company. I now have T-mobile, have no problems with it and my bill does not change monthly.
Do yourself the service and do not sign up with Sprint. You will waste many hours of your life - and all in vain anyway - you will get nothing accomplished, your blood pressure will go up and Sprint will still be a company that will rip you off.
