Kokoamos Virginia Beach Complaint - Doubt I'll ever go back
It was Father's Day, and my dad wanted to go out to dinner. When he first chose this place I was confused. In my mind, it was generally a night club, and heck, they actually serve food there?
OK, well, it was his choice. He chose to sit on the deck. When we first got there, he remarked about how the servers were dressed, quite similar to a (insert a famous wings place here).
OH! NOW I know why he picked this place.
It's right on the water, so there was a nice view (I'm talking about all the boats coming in), too bad there wasn't even a slight breeze to break up the stifling heat. Not their fault, I can put up with this for a time.
My dad actually recommended a particular tuna wrap that he had there last year, so I ordered it.
Ugh, service was extremely slow. Out of a party of five, one order was wrong, and my sister chose to ignore it (it was hers). This place was not crowded at all.
The food? Bland. Really bland. I mean, I could barely taste anything. Not worth my money or time. Dad *actually* complained to our server, and her answer was "Well, it depends who is working in the kitchen, they can change the ingredients as they see fit."
I do not recommend this place for their *food*.
On the plus side, it was their first happy hour of the day (what does that even mean?), and many of their bottled beers were only $.50.
