KitchenAid/Whirlpool Complaint - Appliances and Customer Service

Review by Unhappy2 on 2010-06-21
We bought 3 KitchenAid Appliances less than 1 year ago. All 3 have failed and required service. The Bottom Drawer Stainless fridge has had many problems. Currently, the door will not shut properly and the water dispenser gets stuck almost every time you try to get water. Also the wine cooler will not keep a constant temperature. It is a dual temp unit and the upper unit will fluctuate in temp from 43 degrees to 51 degrees and back within minutes. I called in early May to have both units serviced. The people they sent for the wine cooler had no clue how to fix and made things worse by messing with it. They left and came back several weeks later with some dye to do some testing. Said they would call back and again it has been weeks and no calls. When I call KitchenAid they act like it is not their problem and give me the numbers to the service people they scheduled. The people working on the fridge say they are waiting(6 weeks now) on a part from KitchenAid. When I call KitchenAid, they say this is not true and I have to basically beg them to do some checking and figure out what is going on. Then they tell me "You will have to call us back, we cannot call you." Isnt that just ridiculous. Spend thousands of dollars on what is suppossed to be top of the line appliances. None of them work and the customer service is terrible. Oh, and don't even think about asking if you can fill out a survey on the products or customer service. That doesn't exist according to the people who answer the phone.

Geeez, what shame.that's the trouble with most-not all-warranty/contract service. they're the low bidders so--K/A should man up on this[that's what you say]- anyway complain-alot to your dealer. they have the pull you need.
