Netzero Complaint - Unauthorized charges
MOUNT LAUREL, NEW JERSEY -- I canceled this service over six months, ago, I actually called in and canceled it because I switched to Comcast. The woman told me since I was such a good customer, they can give me the service free for three months, if I want to reinstate it to call in. Well, guess what I never used their service..all of a sudden I get charged $14.95. Of course I called in and explained the situation, the man on the phone begged me for my money and told me for sure it is definitely cancelled. I trusted him. Recently, after another three months again they charged my account. This time is it fraud, because they really did it without informing me of anything. I did not use their service at all. I called them, the man I spoke to apologized, he put me on hold and never got back to me, I called the bank and filed a dispute for the charge. I called them back to inform them I filed a dispute, this time the woman I spoke to said she could not find my information, and that I am not a customer and they have no records showing I got charged so there is nothing to refund. I told her that's weird I just spoke to someone and he pulled up my information immediately..but don't worry about it I filed a dispute with the bank. She did not say anything because she did not care about her company! I've also changed my account number to avoid them from charging me. You think you can trust someone but they screw you anyway!
