UniBlue Complaint - Trashed my Computer - Registry Booster and Power Suite

Review by rjk on 2010-06-22
Resolution Update on 06/25/2010:
UniBlue refunded my money. Nothing else to do, but close this out and move on...
I recently purchased UniBlue's Registry Booster and Power Suite products. After running these, my operating system (Windows XP) became unusable. In fact, I ultimately had to reload the OS and all my applications. Most of my data was backed-up, but there are always things you lose. Four days later I can do 95% of what I need.

I have requested a refund from UniBlue. Hopefully they will cooperate. Otherwise I will contact my credit card company and protest the charges.

Summary: I don't recommend these products and advise you don't use/buy them.

Several days later...

UniBlue refunded my money in a very professional manner. It doesn't reduce the pain I had to go through in rebuilding my system. But at least I didn't have to eat the cost as a "learning experience".

1/22/2011 - Uniblue SpeedUpMyPC software does not uninstall correctly and leaves behind active registry entries that chew up CPU needlessly. It took me a few hours to rid my PC of this sticky software, by manually editing the registry and removing a couple of Uniblue entries, and also removing it from the start-up processes / programs. STAY AWAY FROM UNIBLUE. People have reported registry problems resulting from their software for months and the company has not responded to fix them.
