Whitley Memorial Funeral Home - Kalamazoo Compliment - Service When Needed - Funeral

Review by sunny85 on 2010-06-22
KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN -- My dad died in May. In August, he and my mom would have been married 67 years. My mother, a widow in her 80's is left with very moderate income. When faced with having to select a funeral home, we turned to Whitley Memorial Funeral Home in Kalamazoo, MI. Whitley is the new-comer on the block in our area. From the first phone call, we dealt with Mr. Whitley, the owner. Mr. Whitley and his staff listened to our needs, desires and financial concerns with regard to my dad. With compassion, skill and professionalism, Mr. Whitley met our needs. When empty-handed relatives voiced concern at our having selected Whitley, we were assured by Mr. Whitley that we were in good hands. At his final appearance in this system of things, my dad was handsome and life like. The service and burial were conducted in a very dignified manner. I have intentionally not mentioned the affordability of the services until now. By selecting Whitley's, our family indebtedness was reduced by several thousand dollars. If there was/is a drawback to using Whitley's, it was the location, a minor inconvenience in light of the services rendered and the dollars saved. I wholeheartedly recommend Whitley Memorial Funeral Home.
