Comcast(Mississippi) Complaint - $5.00 late fee when you have payed bill early

Comcast sent me a bill before 06-15-2010. They had included on the bill I received on 06-14-2010 a fee of $5.00. I paid the bill on 06-07-2010 with a check from my personal account. I was told that takes 24 hrs. for that check to clear before it is considered for payment. I thought that if you gave a company a check for payment it is considered payment for that particular day and should there be any thing wrong with the customers account then there is cause for justification. They told me it was considered paid on 06-08-2010, which is their payment date received which I can't help if their computers are slow, mine isn't and the money was in the bank with my presentation of an electronic check .
I called Comcast and one of their representatives answer. I told him of the $5.00 late fee and he told me he could remove it as a one time service this time; people, I paid my bill before time and there should not be a late fee. I even dropped Starzs which is supposed to be a $10.00 credit to my account but they gave me a $4.00 credit, now whose the pirate or robber. I have telephone, cable and internet. I even called their 1411 to get a number, they told me one time the number and asked for 50 cent to dail it with out repetiting it twice so I just called the Mayor's office to get the information. Good sevice ha.
