Shop rite Complaint - What is in the water

Review by salsa_teamo on 2010-06-22
I have been forced to buy shop rite spring water since there is no longer Gristedes spring water. I usually boil the water before using. With the Gristedes there is never a sediment in the water not even a dust. The shop rite spring water leaves my kettle all dusty with whitish particles floating around. What is this particle in the water? At first I thought it may be a defective jar but from time to time I have tried the shop rite spring water and the result remains the same. Please explain.

the water is probably fortified with nutrients such as calcium.

Sediment is very normal in tap water, which is probably what you're paying for when you buy the Shop Rite water.

I'd love to know a) why not just boil your tap water and b) why boil the bottled water?

I live in a building with very old plumbing system. I have tried the tap water. I have allergic reactions. Gristedes spring water was safe and affordable to me. Since they do not carry it anymore I had to screen for alternative hence the Shop Rite Water.
