Affilated Financial Services Complaint - False Results - Lowering of Credit Card Insterest Rates

Review by Coot on 2010-06-22
NEW YORK, NEW YORK -- I'm writing this complaint because August of 2009 I received a call from this company claiming they could reduce the interest rates I was paying on my Credit Cards and would save me NO LESS then then $2400 or get your money back. This would all happen within a year. The fool I was I signed up and charged $595 for their services.
In order to start you had to make an appointment with a Representative by phone to talk to them, this took about 3 to 4 weeks due to how busy they were. NEVER WERE ABLE TO TALK TO ANYONE WITHOUT APPT. Finally got a hold of someone and we discussed the CC and he said he would work on them- let's set up another appt to talk in a month. Nothing happened with my CC card interest rates for the next 4 months. Called and said I wanted to cancel they said you had to have this for one year to see results. So I continued to wait but, but after 8 month got so upset they said okay she would put in to issue refund. Said to watch for refund on CC in the next 30 days- guess what NO refund. Called again they gave me a number to call and that recording says if you are calling for a refund get a hold of your CC and see what you can do. NOTHING 60 DAYS ARE UP- ONLY GO BACK 60 days. Today before writing this I called the number now, not in service. Called Affiliated and guess what I think they are NO longer in service either. HELLPPPP

Wow, not your ordinary debt management company. If they had a relationship with banks, you would have gotten the interest reductions within two months. Anything after that, it never was going to happen then. The biggest flag I see is they charged you an enormous fee and let you put it on a credit card!? No bank in the world would work with them if they knew they were grabbing a big charge off of a credit card while claiming to help people out of credit card debt.
