Trimark Pacific Homes Complaint - Window Leakage's and Crack
ALISO VIEJO, CALIFORNIA -- I purchased my loft at the Temple Lofts in Long Beach, California from Trimark Pacific Home builders 4 years ago. At the time of the purchase there were the normal type of problems with new pruchases but the major one was the south facing windows. I live on the top floor and of course in Southern California we do not have a lot of rain but within the first year I complained about the windows leaking in my new loft. After about 2 months after many calls Trimark finally sent out the Window manufacturing company "Woodridge" windows and they tried to fix it from the roof by cauking was what I was told. Of course then we did not have rain again until the following year and again leaks that were dripping down onto the sill and to the floor. They were notified again and they tried to do a "band aid" type sealing on a couple of holes in the metal frame. But then again when the rain came again it ran to 2 different places and I have pictures to document the leaks with the rains we had. Unfortunately I have to pack my windows with towels to keep the water from running onto my now installed wood floors that will warp if they get soaked from the rain again. I complained by phone and also fax and mailed them the photos of the leakage in April, 2010 and not response. That is the major problem but I also had a crack on the outside of my "double pane" window in the same window group which was pointed out to their on duty site person and also to the window company, Woodridge. Woodridge's response by one of the guys here to patch the leakage was , "The building settled" and it would take a lift to get to the window to replace it and it would be very costly. In other words they were not interested in doing anything.
I am at a loss of what to do until I head about this site and felt that maybe this might get some response from Trimark, or the attention of someone that has had similar problems and could tell me what next to do to get action before having to seek legal help.
