Upgradebay.com Complaint - Lied to and won't refund correctly

Review by lust4life2 on 2010-06-22
ORANGE, CALIFORNIA -- On 5/12/2010 I purchased a refurbished hard drive from upgradEbay.com They took my American Exprss and I was told $67.23 for the item and 4.95 for shipping. When I got my statement they charged 143.95. When I called they had already taken off the refurbished item that I had purchased and acted like it was never there on sale. They also came up with a phony story that they had sent me an email, which they did not. The owner then said he was going to refund me a small portion of the purhase price, but get this. He could not even credit my account until 270 days down the road. Please be aware of this company. They are not above board and I am very displeased. Hope this helps whoever else is thinking about purchasing from them on the internet. steve ball order # 117746

I tried to order a hard drive. When I hit the checkout button, I got a big red warning sign that I had been redirected. I tried upgradebay.net but now and it loooks OK. But now I'm feeling more than a bit insecure.
