Staples Complaint - Protection and Service Plan
FRAMINGHAM, MASSACHUSETTS -- Description of Problem: I purchased the laptop computer on 4/18/2008.The salesman also offered a choice of Staples Technical Support and Protection Plans and I purchased the Two Year plan for $149.99 including Screen protection with complete replacement that expires on 4/18/10.After making this purchase I was assured by the salesman to be completely covered if anything went wrong with the laptop. I believed that it would be fully covered because the salesman stated "You can drop it or kick it and you are covered". The repair service provider is claiming damage is internal(dropped) and refuse to repair the computer, that despite some damage to the right side hinge to computer was in working order as of 3/12/10.Problem was reported to in store PC repair of Staples on 3/13/10. shipped to service on 3/16/10. Laptop was returned to my home address on 3/19/10 with minimum information why no repair was made. Customer Service is claiming I did not purchase damage protection.
