Bosch Complaint - Unhappy with my Bosch dishwasher
Our Bosch dishwasher needs a repair and it is only three years old. We are now two weeks with it not working. Possibly the part may be under warranty--only authorized Bosch repairman can do the repair. It took about a week to get him to take a look and service call was $70 and we had to prepay the part for the guy to order it--$159. The part was supposed to come from Tennessee to Atlanta but was sent to Richmond. Was told UPS goofed on that. Got a call that repairman would be here tomorrow and another service call would be charged. But since we do not have the part which (something in the electrical system) the call has to be cancelled and rescheduled for next week. So that will be week three with no dishwasher. So we are now approaching half the original cost of the Bosch in repairs. We bought it from Home Depot Expo when we remodeled our kitchen and they went under so can't complain to them. In fact, there is no one to voice any concerns to--we actually had someone from a schedule center hang up on us when we asked for Fed Ex to ship the part. Before owning this Bosch, which incidentally we decided on it because of the stainless steel inside and out with no exterior buttons and quiet, we had three different Whirlpools that never needed a single repair during the 10 years or so of ownership. If you are considering buying this dishwasher please reconsider. A typical parts supply place will not have Bosch parts.
