Jimmy Buffett benefit tickets - Complaint
Went to get tickets to the Jimmy Buffett Benefit Concert that went on sale @10am well I was told 35,000 tickets were sold out @ 10:01am.....same day. Tried for 25m on the website & calling at the same time. Web told me non avaliable or an error msg saying wrong code was put in & wasn't bc I checked it every time. I know they weren't sold out bc I called Customer Sevc & was told they couldn't help they were sold out @ 10:01 but in same convo she told me nothing was wrong bc she sold tickets @ 10:17am. I was on several of Buffetts pgs & a lot of ppl had this problem. Sad thing is.....scalpers got them first & Free tickets are now being sold on Ebay for $100's & $1000.00's of dollars. Now instead of tickets being used & ppl buying shirts & renting rooms the tickets will be on Ebay! Sad!! Shame on you Ticketmaster & Ebay!

That sounds about normal for Ticketmaster. They are an evil empire. Buffett shows do sell out quickly, but 1 minute does seem a bit fast. There may have been some pockets of single seats, but there's no doubt that the scalpers were given first choice. I guess the good news is that it's on TV. Perhaps you can host a tailgate in your backyard. Let me know. I'd probably show up.
