Aurora Loan Service Complaint - Aurora Loan Service/GMAC Loans

Review by Drew21179 on 2010-06-23
SCOTTSBLUFF, NEBRASKA -- We have 2 mortgages; one with Aurora Loan Service & GMAC both of which are stating we are paying late and has processing fees for modification review. We have never been late and should not have these fees attached per the Obama plan. We did hire an attorney that after the fact, he would not litigate. We are actively seeking an attorney to litigate these issues or to join a Class Action. Our original contract with Aurora Loan Service stated that we would pay taxes and homeowners insurance separately which we have done for 4 years however they ALS paid the first half of the taxes without notifying us which they claimed was part of the home modification which we did not accept for sign for as it was for a 8 year ARM with increased payment. We were not able to pay the entire tax bill at the County stating that ALS already paid the first half and we could only pay the second half. When ALS received our application for modification, they diverted the house payment into
Escrow and advised us we were always late. This was not an Escrow account not signed or agreed upon by us. We denied this offer and never returned it. AlS called to ask why, then hung up on my husband. Poor customer service. I have lost my job to layoff as the company relocated to Chicago and my husband is on Soc Sec Disability and unable to work and has not worked for 20 years and our son is unable to help us as he has a minimum wage job and his own bills to pay. We notified all the national news media with no response and asking for someone to assist other than contacting the Attorney General in Colorado and Dept of Regulatory Agency for Real Estate in Colorado as well.
