Budget Rent-A-Car Complaint - Treated me like a Criminal
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I signed up for a two day rental, and I returned the car back on time, with a full tank of gas. Unfortunately I was not able to return the car in the same city I rented it.
The manager calls me several times on the phone screaming at me, over the Xmas holidays, telling me that I have stolen his car.
He has also put a $2500 hold on my credit card, (for a 2 day rental!) while, in the meantime, the Budget location where I returned the car has already rented it out to somebody else!
I called customer service at Budget, and after waiting for 15 minutes to talk to somebody, they gave me a case number and said they would get back to me with their "Judgment" in 5 days!
I would like outside arbitration.
This is such a racket.
I understood Budget was one company.
The organization and management is terrible, especially since they merged with Avis.
No safeguards, and the Customer is always WRONG!
