Citi Mortgage Complaint - Worst customer service!!!!
For the last two years I have had Citimortgage and have always paid my bill either online or over the phone on the due date. Last month I made a payment like always on line 5/18/2010 it cleared my account and then on 5/20/2010 I realized that another payment was taken out of my checking account. I called citimortgage and after speaking to many reps I was finally reassured that it would never happen again and that somehow I set up on Easy Pay and the submitted the cancellation on 5/22/2010 again was reassured it wouldn't happen again and they were even going to refund me the extra payment. I never received the refund, so I let it go figured it was OK since the payment was applied to the month of June and my next payment wouldn't be til July. Then to my surprise I was debited again directly from my checking on 6/21/2010, I called Citimortgage and no one could give me an answer an how this was possible. Every representative I spoke to was blaming my bank for the debits. I asked to speak to a manager and was just placed on hold and then the call would get disconnected. They keep telling me that I am not set up on easy pay or any other automatic debit payment plan. My bank shows that Citimortgage is the one debiting my account so now I have no choice but to close my checking account.
