DirecTV Inc Complaint - Beware of Equipment Replacement
I had been a customer of Direct TV for over ten years. Three or four years ago, I purchased a DVR from them to replace my original receiver. After, a few years, the DVR failed. I called support and the "support" person said they would replace the unit. Which they did. After a year, I decided to switch to Verizon FiOS for the complete Internet/telephone/FIOS package which was a $100 a month cheaper. My ex-wife had set up our account with Direct TV debiting my bank account for the monthly fee. (Glad she is gone) Well, Direct TV hit my account for $256 for early cancellation of my agreement with them. I called customer service three times, and each time they said they would refund the money as the replacement of equipment should not have started a new agreement. Five months later, I have not received anything from Direct TV except for telemarketers wanting me to come back to Direct TV. I have instructed them to contact my ex-wife for continued service.
