Florida Tropical Plumbing Complaint - Florida Tropical Plumbing

Review by Palm Aire on 2010-06-26
POMPANO BEACH, FLORIDA -- On Wednesday, June 22, 2010 Florida Tropical Plumbing was asked to come back to my property from a previous job of water seeping into the condo below. I was first advised that water was seeping beginning of June and brought my plumber from Miami to fix it. Then a couple of weeks into June I was advised by Jorge that water was still seeping below and he called Florida Tropical Plumbing, Inc. They came and billed me for the repair, then again on June 22nd I was informed that there was another seeping issue and that Florida Tropical Plumbing, Inc would come out on Wednesday, June 23rd.
Florida Tropical Plumbing, Inc employee came and discovered that the toilet bowl itself was cracked. Therefore it needed to be replaced. The employee present decided that he had spent too much time on my property and needed to leave and would come back the next day. Company CEO explained to him that I had a new toilet bowl there to go ahead and install it. I showed the employee that I a new bowl in a storage room down the hall. He told me: “You will have to move it and take it to the condo unit.” I asked if I could use his trolley to transport the bowl as it weighed too much for me he said: No! I took the toilet bowl down the hall into the unit with the help of my two small children. When I placed it inside the employee decided to pack up and leave. He used my clean bathroom towels to clean his mess. For the two towels the company owes me $20.00.
I immediately contacted the company- who did not listen to my argument and concerns that the employee left an open and exposed area for my children and cut me off. You sent another employee in an hour over to complete the first employee’s job. He – to the best of his ability put in the toilet and left huge gaps that needed to be filled with grout. He also left the cracked toilet in the unit. This company cracked the toilet when they took it out the first time so they should have disposed of the cracked toilet. I had to pay a neighbor $10.00 to remove it and throw it in the dumpster.
I was billed $150.00 two weeks ago for TOILET FLANGE and WAX SEAL when it was not needed at all. I am requesting that the monies be returned to me at my address. I am also requesting that no further business be conducted with you as you and employees were crass, rude and unprofessional with me. The total balance owed to me is $180.00. If you need pictures or a copy of the original receipt pls. advise.
