The Final Coat painting Complaint - Say NO to Final Coat Painting Company

Review by jen5126 on 2010-06-26
HUEYTOWN, ALABAMA -- The painter had sprayed the siding of my home and painted the ceiling of my porch. After receiving 2nd payment (which totaled 60% of job cost) and only one more half day on job, I awoke to him loading his ladders on his truck and telling me I would have to hire someone else to finish painting my house. He said it should cost about $1000 to get it finished. My quote to finish from another painter was $2200!!!! We were into the FOURTH week of painting the house and multiple excuses from personal problems, back and blood pressure problems, to difficulty finding help, etc. Whatever you do NEVER hire this man to do ANYTHING for you!

Seems like the Final Coat should not even be the first coat. I worked for a while in Arizona for a house painter, and if we took more than a week to paint any house, I don't know what house, then John would come in with the airles spray, and we'd mask off the place and shoot it, usually in just one day. Sounds like Final Coat should be run out of the business, as he is giving painters a black eye.
