Bob Bell KIA of Essex, MD Complaint - Bad Experience - New Vehicle
BALTIMORE, MARYLAND -- After getting several internet/phone quotes, decided on Bob Bell Essex. Went to store to find that vehicle we wanted was not on lot with all the extras we wanted. Explained we'd buy it but come back in a week when vehicle was properly loaded. After lots of pressure and 6 hours of filling out paperwork and waiting for different people to help us (with kids in tow) we agreed to take vehicle that night (mistake 1) and bring it back in a week to have extras loaded. At this point we received the bum's rush. Salesman told us to get in vehcile so he could be sure we understood all the electronics in the vehicle (stereo, DVD, etc) and then told us to leave and come back on arranged date. We were tired, hot, thirsty, and hungry, and feeling very pressured to leave. We got home realizing we never did a final walkaround of the vehicle. We got out and did one only to find that the paint was scratched and the back of the third row of seats had two holes in it. No one had even been in this row of seats yet. We called immediately to complain and the general manager assured us these things would be fixed when we brought vehicle in for extras to be loaded. When we did take vehicle in, we were told that the problems would not be repaired because we drove off the lot with the vehicle and it was our problem now. We now have a $25K car with thousands of repairs that need to be done. Feel abused, cheated and lied to. Avoid this dealership at all costs! The slightly cheaper sales price isn't worth it.
