Expansys Complaint - shipped product with foreign power adapter

Review by lacobrts on 2005-01-06
I ordered a bluetooth wireless headset from expansys-usa.com. When I received the headset I found that the charger for the heaset was not compatible with the US power system. The plug had two round prongs and was for some foreign power system. They shipped a small adapter with the headset to adapt it to the US power system but it doesn't work.

I have another charger that works with the headset so I have the ability to charge the thing. But I wanted the second charger to use in another location.

I complained to expansys-usa.com and they did issue a return authorization. I have not decided whether to return it or not. That alone doesn't fix things for me. I'd have to pay to ship it back, plus the shipping charges I paid to have it delivered to me in the first place would not be refunded. Also, I need a headset so I'd have to pay to ship another one from a more reputable dealer selling products destined for the US. It would likely be cheaper to buy a charger from a local dealer.

It is my opinion that expansys-usa.com engages in deceptive business practices. It is my reasonable expectation that when I live in the US, supply a US shipping address and order from a website with USA in their URL that I would get a US product.
