DiscountBookSale.com Complaint - Customer Service Is Not Their Strength

BOCA RATON, FLORIDA -- I ordered a book and was automatically signed up for Best Brand Values (fee site) which was not wanted and required a call to cancel. The incorrect book was shipped to me. When I called Cust Svc, I was told to return it to the book supplier for DiscountBookSale. The book was returned via UPS with tracking and a letter requesting a refund for the book. I made several calls to Cust Svc. at DiscountBookSale who repeated a scripted, robotic answer about when they receive notification from the book supplier that the book was returned, they would issue a refund. I gave them all the details of the returned book, but they never seemed to coordinate with the book supplier. I also called the book supplier where I returned the book and was told that they do not deal with the end users. There seemed to be multiple layers of suppliers, warehouses, and sellers under several names such as DiscountBookSale, HotBookSale, Smart$avingsCenter, and Best Brand Values. They all seem connected but could not coordinate a return. I would never use DiscountBookSale again and urge others to STAY AWAY. The discounted book price is not worth it. So far I am out the price of the book and the return shipment.
