Bose Corporation Complaint - Dangerous Feedback - Bose QuiteComfort 2

Bose QuiteComfort 2 - Complaint
Review by Eclipsediver on 2010-06-27
I purchased the first Bose noise cancelling headphones back in the day and found them to be much too clumsy to travel with due to the non-swivel headphones and in fact they performed better than that was to come. I gave that set away to someone that traveled less than I. I later purchased a pair of Bose QuietComfort 2 for their better travelling advantages, only to have the swivel ear pieces to quickly fail. This second pair of Bose headphones just broken down too quickly for the price and were tossed out since they were out of warranty by a few weeks. Bose was not helpful in earlier calls to Customer Service.
I made the mistake to purchase a second set at a Minneapolis Airport Kiosk after being resold on how much better the newer QuietComfort 2 would be and that better materials were used, etc. Unfortunately, my concern is now more dire then just materials and workmanship, the QC2’s are now experiencing intermittent, dangerous and incredibly high pitch squeals, not unlike microphone feedback from the left channel. Again out of warranty and so sorry, these headphones represent a serious and dangerous hazard to my or anyone else’s hearing. Had to go to a hearing MD for a checkup, it’s that serious
Has anyone else been harmed from the use of any Bose Headphones, if so then let’s make this known?
