Electric range repair - Complaint
I have a Whirlpool electric range that I bought last September. I have called the number that Whirlpool provided for service. My convection oven fan hits something during the warm up and clangs loudly. I have never been able to use it. The person came out to fix it (or diagnose it) and ordered the parts. I made another appointment to get it fixed once the parts came. A technician came out, put in a new fan, said it was fixed and left. It was not fixed. Again, another person came out, fixed it again and left, it was not fixed. Came out again and after about an hour it still was not fixed finally found out that you need washers behind the motor, parts were ordered, technician said he would be out on Monday 6/28 same time (8 a. m.). Parts were received, Monday morning no technician, felt a little funny since I did not get the phone call the day before, called the number to verify, no not coming out until Wed 6/30 "between 8 and 12" won't pin it down. So five times I have taken off of work to get my stove fixed, and it is still not fixed, and now I have no confidence in these people that Whirlpool makes me hire. I would much rather deal with a local company that takes pride in their reputation in the community. I have been buying Whirlpool appliances for 30 years, I think their service is horrible, and they need to monitor who they have represent them. Next time I need an appliance I may not consider Whirlpool.
