Texas Teachers Alternative Certification Program Complaint - Rude & Not Helpful

Review by snook2010 on 2010-06-29
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I called to ask information on fees and how to begin certification, but the woman that returned my call was rude and didn't help me with anything. From the phone call I won't be dealing with this company to get certification. I will be considering other certification programs.
Company Response on 07/06/2010:
We're sorry for any experience that did not completely meet your needs. This experience is absolutely not representative of the uncompromising commitment to customer service that Texas Teachers has built its success on. The foundation of service is the pillar of our vision to help people start their dream of teaching, this commitment to service at Texas Teachers is part of what has led us to become the nations largest and fastest growing ACP. Again we apologize for any similar experience you may have encountered, and we request that you please give us a full account of the event so that we can investigate the situation.

While the ACP industry has traditionally not been focused on service, our business model from the beginning has been to remove barriers, make the process affordable and deliver individualized customer service and strategy.
We value our role in giving meaningful information, it is the only way that candidates can understand the process and increase their chances to get hired as a teacher. We are the only program that does not have an application fee, we are the only program that does not do group information meetings and instead offers one-on-one consultation. At Texas Teachers, we make ourselves available to you when you need it and we spend the time with you. No other program does it this way, which is part of the reason we are the industry leader and have revolutionized the alternate route industry by bringing service and results to customers, the new teachers.

For more information on our history and the foundation of our success and our commitment to service please visit the Our Company page of our website, or simply give us a call. We're always here to help!

Thank you and we look forward to helping people begin their dream of teaching.

How was she rude?

I know how hard it is to get certified in certain states; my wife has done it in Nebraska, Maryland and Texas.

There are no shortcuts; any company that promises you one is only out for your money

I have to repeat goduke's question.. how what she rude? What did she say that made you think she was rude?

Same experience here. Rude and unprofessional. She consistently cut me off and hung up without making sure my questions were answered. Makes me want to seek other options, even though this is the cheapest.
