DirecTV Inc Complaint - Money Stealers - Cable
I purchased DirecTV about five years ago. When we moved we got the "special" free Stars and Showtime for 3 months, I told them I didn't care to have it, but they told me they would just put it on there anyway since it was free. The first month it was charged to us, and when I called I was told, that it would come off automatically the next month. It didn't. The next month I called again, and was told the same thing, and the third month the same. Finally they ended up giving me a credit balance divided between 6 months for the amount of what I was charged for the three months.
We recently moved again and I decided to go with Att-Uverse. I payed my last bill, returned my boxes (which I thought I had originally paid for, but now they are telling me I only rented). I had a credit balance of $49.20 on the account. When I called today to see why I still hadn't received the credit balance I was told that they found some pay-per-views that I had never been charged for when they got the boxes back...that conveniently came up to $49.20. They kept giving me the run around and saying that I should just hang up because a supervisor would take too long.
I will NEVER do business with them again.
