AT&T Cable Services Complaint - U-verse sells sevice that isn't in area
ILLINOIS -- On May 29th 2010 U-verse was to be installed in my home...I was a customer with Comcast for over 20 years...The package included phone, cable, and internet...They started installation a couple days ahead of schedule...the first thing they did was port my phone from Comcast...after they did that, the installer came to my door and told me U-verse did not have a strong enough signal in my area, so they would have to send engineers out to fix the problem...in the mean time...I get a bill from AT&T for a land line I never wanted...and my bundle with Comcast went from 159.00 a month to 235.00...because my phone was taken from AT&T cause I have U-verse...I DON'T HAVE U-VERSE...I have Comcast cable and internet...and last month I had phone service with them(Comcast) too. AT&T is telling me it's not cost effechient to put in it our area...but in the mean time I have a contract saying I'm paying X amount of dollars for U-verse...I would have never cancelled my bundle with Comcast if I couldn't get U-verse...I went from paying $159.00 to $237.00 with Comcast...and $69.99 for an AT&T land line I never ordered...now what would happen If I faulted on them?...they are making me sick to my stomach...I've talked to everyone. Can anybody give me any advice as to what I should do or who I could call to help me?
