La quinta Complaint - La Quinta Flagstaff AZ

Review by riotgrrrrl on 2010-07-02
FLAGSTAFF, ARIZONA -- My company puts us up at a La Quinta in Flagstaff AZ. We stay there several times a month. It does have some nice things like refrigerators and microwaves. But the last time I stayed there the hotel had a black out and as I was taking a shower the water was cold then shut off! as I was soaped up! I was not happy because I was getting ready to go to work.

No one at the staff mentioned any maintenance going on to warn me of the problem.

I was at a La Quinta Inn one night years ago for a state REACT meeting. Right in the middle of a workshop on assisting motorists, the lights went out. We went outside to see if it was just us or the entire motel, and it was spooky at 10 PM in Phoenix to see not one light in our vicinity. Turns out La Quinta could have done nothing about it, as a motorist had hit a piece of APS equipment and knocked out power to some 30,000 homes. Tell me any La Quinta Inn manager could have warned us about that possibility.

I agree with Starlord. If it was a "Power Outage" how did you expect the hotel to notify you in advance?

So you stay there several times a month, you're not paying for it, it is generally nice, but because of one power outage, you write a complaint about the place? Doesn't seem right to me.

As others are questioning, this complaint only has merit if the hotel did in fact, turn the power and water off themselves due to scheduled maintenance. In that case, I agree some notice would be appropriate.

How is the fire situation? I used to live in Arizona, and try to keep my ear on the ground.
